On top of that, this filter also reduces the taste and odor of chlorine treatment.
The GE SmartWater MWF Refrigerator Water Filter is NSF tested and certified for quality. It replaces GE water filter part numbers GWF, GWFA, GWF01, GWF06, MWFA, and Hotpoint HWF, HWFA. However, an adapter may be necessitated if you have the following filters: FXRC, FXRT, MXRC, HXRT, WR97X10006, and Kenmore 46-9905.
This filter features easy tool free replacement. You don’t even need to turn off your water to install it. Simply turn the old filter to the left to remove it, then insert the new filter and turn it to the right. It’s genuinely that easy.

 Couldn’t be Easier

Shipped immediately, took it out of the box, ignored all the instructions and warnings as men do, unscrewed the other one, put this one in, filled up 2 big glasses of water to “flush it” and that was it.
Maybe 5mins worth of effort?
Not sure what else to say in a review of this item, worked outstanding in our GE fridge.

Matches precisely with initial filter

The item incisively matches with primary filter. The primary filter is type GWF “Smart Water Plus” for GE refrigerator type PSS26LGRB WW.
It took hardly couple of minutes to replace the filter. We have observed the new filter for the last few weeks and we have not faced any problem so far.
